Ep 1. One Eye, One Leg

In/Spectre season 1 episode 1, "One Eye, One Leg", introduces us to the world of Kuro Sakuragawa, a young man who sees ghosts and yokai (Japanese supernatural creatures) thanks to a near-death experience he had as a child. Despite the yokai's hostility, Kuro and Karin persist in their investigation and eventually stumble upon a hidden shrine deep within the forest. There, they find the missing body, which turns out to belong to a man named Kuroumaru Hashimoto. Kuroumaru was an orphan who was taken in by a group of yokai and lived among them for years, eventually becoming one of their own.

Kuroumaru's death was a tragedy for the yokai who had come to love him as family, but it was made worse by the fact that Kuroumaru's body was stolen from them. The yokai believed that a group of humans had taken Kuroumaru's body and were using it for nefarious purposes, which is why they were so distrustful of Kuro.

However, Kuro is able to convince the yokai that he has no interest in harming them or taking Kuroumaru's body. Instead, he and Karin promise to find out who stole the body and bring them to justice.

Overall, "One Eye, One Leg" is a captivating introduction to the world of In/Spectre, filled with mystery, intrigue, and supernatural creatures. The episode sets up a fascinating central character in Kuro, who is both relatable and unique in his ability to see ghosts and yokai. Karin also proves to be an interesting character, with her mysterious motivations and playful personality adding to the show's overall sense of fun. With its mix of horror, humor, and detective work, "One Eye, One Leg" is an excellent start to what promises to be an entertaining and engaging anime series.
