John C. is the sixth episode of the fifth season of the acclaimed Emmy-winning series, Intervention. The show follows the lives of individuals suffering from addiction and how their families seek out professional help to intervene and help them turn their lives around.

In this episode, we meet John, a 34-year-old man from St. Paul, Minnesota. John was raised in a strict and religious family but found himself struggling with addiction at an early age. He started with alcohol at the age of 15, and soon after tried methamphetamine, cocaine, and other hard drugs. His mother, who is also a recovering addict, tried her best to help him, but John's addiction continued to spiral out of control.

John has been in and out of rehab over the years, but his addiction has always managed to catch up with him. He lost a job he had for 10 years because of his addiction and eventually started selling drugs to keep up with his habit. His family is aware of his addiction, and his sister and other family members have tried to help him, but it hasn't been successful.

The episode follows John and his family as they plan an intervention to help him get the help he needs. The interventionist, Jeff VanVonderen, meets with the family to prepare for the intervention. He learns about John's history and addiction, which includes overdoses and near-death experiences.

At the intervention, John is surprised and overwhelmed to see his family gathered in one place. However, it's not easy convincing him to seek help, and he initially resists the idea of going to rehab. It's clear that John is still struggling with accepting his addiction and seeing a way out of it.

Throughout the episode, we see John's family share their experiences and the toll it has taken on them. They describe how they have had to put their lives on hold to help John, and the fear that they have every time he relapses. Seeing the impact that his addiction has had on his loved ones, as well as the consequences he has faced, finally convinces John to go to rehab.

We follow John's journey as he goes through detox and starts to work on his addiction at a residential treatment center. His journey is filled with ups and downs, and there are moments where he feels like giving up. However, with the support of his family and the interventionist, he is able to persevere and make progress.

There are moments during John's journey where we see him start to recognize the ways in which his addiction has affected his life. He starts to take responsibility for his actions and begins to work on rebuilding relationships with his family.

Overall, John C. is a poignant episode that shows the impact of addiction not only on the individual but also on their loved ones. It's a reminder of the importance of seeking help, and the power of family and support when working towards recovery.
