Ep 3. White Stork Spreads Wings

Sunny and M.K. continue their journey towards the Badlands capital, but encounter a new obstacle when they come across an abandoned mining town. Here, they meet a group of runaways who have been hiding from the Barons and Clippers and relying on scraps to survive. Sunny recognizes the leader of the group, Ava, as someone he had saved before. However, this time she is not as willing to trust him.

Meanwhile, The Widow sends Tilda to get the book from M.K. in exchange for the Clippers who had been taken as hostages. However, Tilda quickly realizes that M.K. has a special power and decides to keep him instead. The Widow also makes a deal with Quinn, offering him a chance to win back his Clippers by joining forces with her.

Back in the mining town, Ava reveals that the Baron has been using the town as a testing ground for a dangerous new drug called "the poppy." The drug enhances a person's abilities, but also has deadly side effects. Sunny and M.K. promise to help the group escape, but Ava is hesitant to leave without destroying the poppy first.

Quinn and his Clippers arrive at the town, intent on using it as a base for their operations. The group is quickly discovered and a battle breaks out. Tilda helps M.K. escape, but is captured by the Clippers. Quinn finds and confronts Sunny, but they are interrupted by the arrival of The Widow and her Clippers. The two groups engage in a fierce battle, with both Sunny and The Widow displaying their impressive fighting skills.

In the end, the runaways are able to escape and the poppy is destroyed, but not without casualties. Sunny realizes that M.K. is more valuable than he had initially thought and decides to take him to the Barons. The episode ends with Tilda and The Widow discussing their next move, hinting at a larger plan in motion.
