- 1 Season
Intruders is a BBC broadcast television program that has recently seen a very well received 8 episode first season. The series is based on the Micheal M. Smith novel, The Intruders, which chronicles a story about a man trying to find answers about a mysterious organization that seeks to gain the power of immortality by using others as vessels for their own minds (hence the title). The series features the talents of John Simm (Dr. Who, Life on Mars, Mad Dogs) in the star role alongside, Mira Sorvino (Mimic, The Replacement Killers), Tory Kittles (Sons of Anarchy, Malibu's Most Wanted), James Frain (Titus, The Count of Monte Cristo) and finally, Millie Brown (The Crossing Place, The Sheperds and the Fox). The story of the series is very similar to the book, with Simm playing former LAPD official Jack Whelan. Whelan is asked to investigate and draw conclusions of strange events that begin happen over the city. He agrees and starts his quest for the truth but is seems as if the harder he tries to unveil the light the darker everything becomes. He eventually stumbles upon a secret order whom are obsessed with the power of immortality. Episode running time is around sixty minutes per episode.
