Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? is a reality show that follows Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa Rivers as they navigate their family and personal lives in Los Angeles. In season 1 episode 3, titled "Kiss My Ash," Joan must deal with the aftermath of her housekeeper's untimely death.

The episode begins with Joan recounting how her beloved housekeeper, Roxy, passed away unexpectedly and how it has affected both her and Melissa. Joan is in denial about Roxy's death and refuses to process it, while Melissa feels that they need to deal with the situation head-on.

Melissa suggests that they hold a memorial service for Roxy, but Joan is resistant to the idea. She insists that Roxy wouldn't want a fuss to be made about her death and that they should just move on. Melissa, on the other hand, feels that it's important to honor Roxy's memory and pay their respects.

Meanwhile, Joan's assistant, Sabrina, is tasked with handling Roxy's belongings. She goes through her things and finds a box of ashes that Roxy had left behind. Sabrina brings the ashes to Joan, who is reluctant to take them. She doesn't want to deal with the emotional weight of having Roxy's ashes in her house.

After much persuasion from Melissa, Joan finally agrees to hold a memorial service for Roxy. Melissa and Joan invite a few close friends and family members to their home to remember Roxy's life. Melissa gives a touching eulogy, and Joan becomes emotional as she realizes how much Roxy meant to everyone.

After the memorial service, Joan still has a hard time processing her grief. She decides to take a vacation to Palm Springs with her friend Lynne to get her mind off of things. While there, Joan goes shopping and ends up buying a decorative urn to hold Roxy's ashes. She says that it's what Roxy would have wanted and that it brings her comfort to have Roxy close to her.

Back in Los Angeles, Joan and Melissa visit Roxy's grave together. They bring flowers and spend some time reflecting on their memories of Roxy. Melissa tells Joan that she's proud of her for facing her grief head-on and not pushing it away.

Overall, "Kiss My Ash" is a poignant episode that deals with the difficult topic of death and grief. It showcases the close relationship between Joan and Melissa and how they support each other during tough times. The episode is a reminder that it's important to honor the memories of loved ones and to allow ourselves to feel our emotions, even when they're painful.
