Joe 90 was a television show produced by Century 21 Productions in collaboration with ITC Entertainment, and aired on ITV from 1968 to 1969. The series was created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, who were also the masterminds behind iconic TV shows like Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet.

Joe 90 followed the adventures of Joe McClaine, a nine-year-old boy who possessed a special device called the "BIG RAT" (Brain Impulse Galvanoscope Record and Transfer), which allowed him to absorb the skills and knowledge of virtually anyone through a process called "brain imprinting". Joe's father, Professor Ian McClaine, was a scientist for the World Intelligence Network (WIN), which was tasked with saving the world from various threats.

The show was set in a near-future world where technology had advanced significantly, with powerful supercomputers, advanced spacecraft, and all manner of futuristic gadgets. The series presented a compelling vision of a world where science was the key to solving problems and saving lives.

Joe 90 was a combination of science fiction and adventure, with Joe and his father heading to all manner of exotic destinations, from the Arctic Circle to the depths of the ocean, to save the world from a variety of threats, both earthly and extraterrestrial.

Joe's special ability to absorb the knowledge and abilities of others made him an invaluable asset to WIN, as he could instantly become an expert in any field, from pilot to deep sea diver, from spy to racing driver. However, the process of brain imprinting sometimes took a toll on Joe, leaving him disorientated and drained, and there was always the risk that his personality could be altered by the process.

The supporting cast included Professor McClaine's assistant, Sam Loover, who often accompanied Joe and his father on their missions. There was also Shane Weston, the head of WIN's security department, and a variety of other characters, both heroic and villainous, who added to the drama and excitement of the show.

One of the most iconic aspects of Joe 90 was the visual design, which featured a mix of futuristic technology and retro charm. The aircraft, vehicles, and gadgets featured in the show were often reminiscent of 1960s design, but with a sci-fi twist that gave the show a unique look and feel.

The series also boasted impressive puppetry and special effects, with intricate sets and models that brought the world of Joe 90 to life in stunning detail. The show's score, composed by Barry Gray, was also a standout feature, with themes that were both thrilling and memorable.

Joe 90 was a hit with audiences and critics alike, with its blend of adventure, science fiction, and espionage earning it a legion of fans. The show was also notable for its positive portrayal of science and technology, and for its use of a child protagonist who was both resourceful and heroic.

Despite its relatively short run, Joe 90 remains a beloved cult classic, with its blend of retro-futuristic charm and action-packed adventure making it a must-watch for fans of science fiction and puppetry alike.

Joe 90 is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (30 episodes). The series first aired on September 29, 1968.
