- October 8, 2014
The New Wife; Debit Card Downer episode of Judge Judy features two separate cases brought before the esteemed judge to resolve. In the first case, a man named Timothy has divorced his ex-wife and recently remarried, but his new wife Amanda is causing problems for him. Specifically, Amanda is upset that Timothy still talks to his ex and believes that they have an inappropriate relationship. She has even gone so far as to threaten Timothy's ex with physical violence if she doesn't stay away from him.
Timothy, meanwhile, insists that there is nothing going on between him and his ex and that he just wants to have a good co-parenting relationship with her for the sake of their children. He believes that Amanda is simply jealous and insecure, and he wants Judge Judy to set her straight.
In the second case, a woman named Kaley is suing a man named Brandon over an incident involving her debit card. Kaley claims that she accidentally left her debit card at a gas station, and when she went back to retrieve it, Brandon was the one who had it. She says that he refused to give it back to her until she paid him $20, which she felt was extortion.
Brandon, on the other hand, insists that he was simply trying to help Kaley out by keeping her card safe. He says that he tried to contact her to let her know he had it, but she didn't answer her phone. When she finally did call back and asked for the card, he agreed to give it to her but asked for $20 as a finder's fee.
As always, Judge Judy is the one tasked with sorting through these conflicting claims and determining who is telling the truth. With her no-nonsense demeanor and years of experience on the bench, she is more than up to the challenge. Will she be able to bring some clarity to these confusing situations, or will the disagreements continue to simmer beneath the surface? Tune in to find out.
