Maya's frustration with her colleagues mounts as the situation spirals out of control, and she begins to fear that her botched interview will cost her her job at Blush.
Meanwhile, Nina is busy preparing for a party that could make or break the magazine's financial future. When Elliott invites his ex-girlfriend to the event, Nina's carefully laid plans are thrown off course. She must balance her desire to impress their potential investor with the awkward presence of Elliott's ex, all while hoping that Maya's interview with the Emperor will be a success. As the party heats up and tempers flare, Nina and Elliott must work together to keep the evening from falling apart.
As the episode comes to a close, Maya faces the consequences of her mistakes while Nina and Elliott navigate the aftermath of the chaotic party. Through it all, the staff of Blush must learn to work together and support one another in order to keep the magazine from going under. "The Emperor" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that showcases the best of Just Shoot Me's ensemble cast.
