The show centers around a group of high school girls who form a band named "Hokago Tea Time" (After-School Tea Time) as a part of their school's Light Music Club. Season 2 episode 6 titled "Rainy Season!" picks up during the rainy season where the girls are cooped up inside due to the weather, making it the perfect opportunity to work on their music.

The episode begins with the girls arriving at school during a downpour. They make their way to the club room, where they find that it's leaking from the ceiling due to the rain. After a brief discussion, the girls decide to use the rain as inspiration for a new song.

Yui, the lead singer of the band, comes up with the lyrics for the song, and the other girls quickly start working on the music. They experiment with different sounds and instruments, trying to capture the feeling of the rain. While they're working on the song, they reminisce about other rainy days and talk about how they enjoy the sound of the rain.

As they're practicing, they begin to hear strange noises that they can't quite identify. The girls initially assume it's just the sound of the rain, but Ritsu, the drummer, becomes increasingly convinced that it's coming from the ceiling. After climbing up to investigate, she discovers that there's a frog stuck in the roof.

While the girls are trying to figure out how to get the frog down, they hear a loud thud coming from the hallway. They investigate and find that the ceiling has collapsed, leaving a hole in the roof. After some quick thinking, the girls decide to cover the hole with a red umbrella that they happened to have in the room.

With the crisis averted, they return to practicing their song. However, as they're playing, they notice that the drum kit is making a strange noise. After investigating, they find that there's a hole in the bass drum. They quickly race to the music store to buy a new one, but find that the store is closed due to the weather.

Despite their setback, the girls are determined to continue practicing. They decide to use a cardboard box as a makeshift bass drum and keep practicing their song. As they're playing, they begin to hear more strange noises, but this time it's coming from the cardboard box.

After some investigation, they discover that the box is actually a cat carrier, and that a stray cat had taken shelter inside. The girls quickly adopt the cat and name her "Neko" (Japanese for "cat"). They finish their song, and the episode ends with the girls sitting together, listening to the sound of the rain with their new pet.

Overall, "Rainy Season!" is a fun and lighthearted episode that focuses on the girls' love of music and their ability to adapt to unexpected situations. The episode has a charming soundtrack and the use of rain as a backdrop helps to add depth to the story. While the episode doesn't necessarily push the overarching story forward, it serves as a great standalone episode that fans of the series are sure to enjoy.
