In the distant future, humanity has colonized various planets across the galaxy. A special organization named GOTT, comprised of genetically modified girls known as ES members, is tasked with maintaining peace and order. The show Kiddy Grade follows the adventures of two ES members, Éclair and Lumière, as they carry out their missions.

The first episode, titled "Depth/Space," begins with Éclair and Lumière being assigned to investigate a planet called Dardanos. The planet is known for its rich underground resources, which are needed for the development of new technologies. With time running out, Éclair and Lumière must use their special abilities and work together to stop the experiment and save the planet.

Éclair is the more serious and no-nonsense of the two, while Lumière is more cheerful and playful. Despite their differences, they complement each other well and make a formidable team.
