In Kings of Pain season 1 episode 6, titled "Fire Down Below," hosts Adam Thorn and Rob "Caveman" Alleva continue their quest to test the limits of pain by seeking out some of the most venomous creatures in the world.
This time, the duo travels to the Central American country of Belize to encounter the fer-de-lance, one of the deadliest and most aggressive snakes on the planet. The fer-de-lance, also known as the "ultimate pit viper," is responsible for most snakebite fatalities in Central and South America.
Adam and Rob begin their search for the venomous reptile by venturing deep into the jungles of Belize, where they encounter a variety of other dangerous animals, including stingrays, tarantulas, and scorpions. The two hosts also immerse themselves in the local culture, trying traditional dishes such as iguana and armadillo.
Finally, the duo encounters their target. With its highly venomous bite and aggressive nature, the fer-de-lance is not to be taken lightly. Adam and Rob must use extreme caution as they attempt to capture and handle the deadly snake.
Throughout the episode, the hosts use their specialized equipment to measure the intensity of the pain inflicted by the fer-de-lance's venom, as well as the psychological and physical effects of the bite on the human body.
As always, Adam and Rob push their own limits to the brink, enduring intense pain and discomfort in order to learn more about these dangerous creatures and their effects on the human body.
