Sightseeing in This Pitiful City! is the eighth episode of the second season of KONOSUBA -God's blessing on this wonderful world!. In this episode, Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness travel to a nearby city for a "vacation". However, upon their arrival, they find that the city is not as luxurious as they had hoped.
The city is run down and the people are poor and desperate. The main attraction of the city is a hot spring, which is unfortunately closed for repairs. The group decides to explore the city anyway, hoping to find something worth their time.
As they wander the city, they encounter various problems. They see a man stealing food and instead of helping, they decide to intervene for their own amusement. This only causes more chaos as they find themselves being chased by the guards.
They also come across a group of young girls who are being kidnapped by some shady men. The group manages to rescue the girls but their attempts at returning them to their families end up causing even more trouble.
Throughout the episode, Kazuma is constantly berating his team for their incompetence. Aqua continues to be her usual arrogant self, Megumin is fixated on fireworks, and Darkness is constantly succumbing to her masochistic tendencies.
Despite the chaos that ensues, the group eventually realizes that the people of the city are actually very kind and welcoming. They learn that the city is suffering due to a tyrant who has taken over and stopped the construction of a bridge that would bring prosperity to the area.
At the end of the episode, the group decides to take matters into their own hands and defeat the tyrant, hoping to bring a better future to the people of the city.
