The story takes place in a world that is divided into two factions; the Anatoray and Disith. The two factions are in a constant state of war and they are fighting over control of the planet's natural resources. The story follows two childhood friends, Claus Valca and Lavie Head, who live in the Anatoray faction. They both dream of one day becoming pilots and flying the legendary aircraft, the vanship. Their dream becomes a reality when they are hired by a man named Alex Rowe, the captain of the Silvana, a massive airship that is part of the Anatoray's military. Claus and Lavie are tasked with completing various missions for the Anatoray, which often involve fighting against the Disith. Throughout the series, Claus and Lavie meet a variety of interesting characters, including Sky Pirates, soldiers, and even members of the royal family.
