Oreshura (short for Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru) is a romantic comedy anime series produced by Aniplex and directed by Kanta Kamei. The series premiered on January 6, 2013 and aired until March 31, 2013. It features a total of 13 episodes. The story of Oreshura focuses on the life of Eita Kidou, a high school student who is determined to devote his entire life to studying and achieving his dream of becoming a doctor. He makes a pact with his childhood friend, Chiwa Harusaki, that they will go to the same high school together. But everything changes when a beautiful and mysterious girl named Masuzu Natsukawa appears and blackmails Eita into becoming her fake boyfriend in order to avoid being constantly asked out by boys at school.

Despite his initial reluctance, Eita agrees to be Masuzu's fake boyfriend in order to keep his study time uninterrupted and to avoid getting involved in any romantic relationships. But as he spends more time with her, he begins to see a different side of Masuzu and realizes that there is more to her than he initially thought.

As the story progresses, Eita finds himself caught in a love triangle between Masuzu, Chiwa, and other girls who develop romantic feelings for him. Through a series of humorous and heartwarming moments, Eita learns that chasing after his dreams is not enough and that he also needs to be true to his feelings and to the people around him.
