Ep 7. To Catch a Poacher

In this episode of Lone Star Law, the game wardens are on a mission to catch poachers who have been hunting illegally in Texas. The team races against time to track down those who pose a threat to wildlife and conservation efforts.

The episode begins with Wardens Richards and Boone investigating a call about a poacher on a remote property in Tyler County. Using night vision equipment, the wardens stealthily sneak up on the suspected poacher and catch him in the act of illegally hunting deer. The poacher is apprehended and detained, and the wardens seize his weapon and illegal deer.

Meanwhile, Wardens McGee and Benge are patrolling Lake Texoma, a popular fishing spot in North Texas. They come across a group of fishermen who are in possession of an over-limit of striped bass. The wardens quickly realize that one of the fishermen has an outstanding warrant for his arrest and take him into custody. The rest of the group is cited for possession of over-limit fish.

In another part of the state, Wardens Gould and Christensen are investigating a case of illegal commercial fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. They are patrolling the waters when they come across a commercial boat that is suspected of illegally harvesting red snapper. The wardens board the boat and find that the crew has exceeded their commercial limit and kept undersized fish. The captain and crew are issued citations and the fish are seized.

Back in Tyler County, the wardens are still on the hunt for poachers. Wardens Richards and Boone set up a decoy operation in which the wardens pose as hunters in order to catch poachers in the act. After a long wait, a truck with spotlight on is spotted coming down a road towards them. The wardens apprehend the driver, who is in possession of a loaded gun and illegal deer. The driver is arrested and charged for poaching.

As the episode draws to a close, Wardens Gould and Christensen are on patrol in the Gulf of Mexico once again. They pull over a commercial boat that is suspected of illegally harvesting shrimp. After boarding the vessel, they find that the crew has exceeded their commercial limit and kept undersized shrimp. The captain and crew are issued citations and the shrimp are seized.

Throughout the episode, the Lone Star Law team shows their dedication to preserving Texas' wildlife and enforcing conservation laws. Through their tireless efforts, the wardens are able to catch several poachers who threaten the natural beauty of the Texas landscape. Viewers are given a glimpse into the challenges and dangers that the game wardens face each day as they work to protect the state's wildlife and natural resources.
