With the city ship on the brink of destruction, the crew must rush to activate the ship's emergency fold system. However, they soon realize that the Daedalus has been sabotaged, and it won't be able to make the fold. The crew races against time to restore power to the ship and avoid the impending disaster.

Meanwhile, the Zentradi continue their attack, and Hikaru must once again take to the skies to defend his home. He and his fellow pilots are able to destroy the enemy's remaining battleships, but the damage has been done. The city ship is heavily damaged, and many of its inhabitants have been injured or killed.

In the end, the crew is able to stabilize the Daedalus, and the ship is able to make the emergency fold just in time. As they travel through space, the crew is left to pick up the pieces and mourn their losses.
