In the fourth episode of the second season of Married at First Sight, titled "The Wedding Night and Morning After," the newlyweds are ready to start their lives together as husband and wife.
The episode begins with the couples celebrating their wedding day with their respective families and friends. After the ceremonies, they all head towards their honeymoon suites. However, not every couple is on the same page when it comes to intimacy.
First up, we see Jaclyn and Ryan, who seem to hit it off immediately. They share sweet moments and even share their first kiss on their wedding night. They have no problem being comfortable around each other and seem to be happy just being together. They spend their first day as a married couple exploring the city and enjoying the local cuisine.
Meanwhile, Davina and Sean hit a snag in their relationship when it comes to intimacy. Sean, who values intimacy and physical touch, is left feeling hurt and rejected when Davina expresses her discomfort with the idea of sex on their wedding night. The two have a tense conversation the next morning, where Sean feels his needs aren't being met and Davina insists that she needs time to feel comfortable.
Vanessa and Tres, on the other hand, have a steamy wedding night that lasts until the early hours of the morning. They bond over their love for sports and seem to have a great time together. However, Vanessa starts to worry that Tres might not be taking their marriage seriously, as he makes jokes and doesn't seem to understand the gravity of the situation.
Jeffrey and Ashley share a house with six of Jeffrey's friends for their honeymoon, in an attempt to save money and get to know each other better in a group setting. However, tensions rise between Jeffrey's friends and Ashley, as they feel like she is intruding on their vacation. Ashley feels isolated and unhappy, and the newlyweds are forced to confront the issues head-on.
As the honeymoon period comes to an end, the couples face their first challenge: moving in together. Jaclyn and Ryan seem to have a seamless transition, as they take their time decorating and make their house feel like a home. Meanwhile, Tres surprises Vanessa with a completed bedroom makeover, showing that he is invested in their marriage and wants to make her happy. Davina and Sean, however, face difficulties as Davina struggles to adjust to living with someone and dealing with Sean's high sex drive.
Overall, "The Wedding Night and Morning After" provides a glimpse into the challenges that come with starting a new life with a complete stranger. While some couples seem to have an easy go of it, others face major obstacles that could threaten their relationship. The episode leaves viewers wondering which couples will make it and which ones will crumble under the pressure.
