Ep 2. I'm Going to Sweatland

In the Married...with Children season 3 episode 2, titled "I'm Going to Sweatland," the Bundy family faces the scorching heat of summer and decides to invest in an air conditioner. However, Al, who is reluctant to spend money on anything that does not benefit him directly, has a different plan. He proposes they go on a family trip to "Sweatland," a water park that he describes as a fun alternative to the hot summer days.

Despite Peggy's excitement for the idea, the rest of the family is skeptical about Al's proposal. Kelly does not want to be seen in a swimsuit, and Bud fears he will be the target of mockery from other teenagers. Nevertheless, Al's convincing arguments convince the family to go on the trip.

Upon arriving at Sweatland, the Bundy's quickly realize that the water park is nothing as advertised. The facilities are dirty, the rides are old and outdated, and the weather is even hotter than outside. Peggy becomes the target of unwanted attention from a group of men, and the only pool that actually has water is so crowded that the family can barely stand.

Meanwhile, back at home, Marcy D'Arcy has also bought an air conditioner, and she shows it off proudly to her friends. Her husband, Steve, invites himself over to try it out and brings a bunch of his buddies with him, much to Marcy's annoyance. The group ends up causing a power outage, and Marcy is left to deal with the aftermath on her own.

Back at Sweatland, the Bundy's are having no luck finding respite from the heat. Al's plan to keep cool by sticking his head in the giant wave pool backfires, and Kelly is rejected by the "cool kids" group. Bud, on the other hand, manages to fit in by pretending to be a rich kid, much to his family's dismay.

As the day goes on, things continue to go wrong for the Bundy's. Peggy nearly drowns in the kiddie pool, and Al gets into a fight with a teenage boy. In the end, the family decides to cut their losses and leave Sweatland. As they exit, they run into Steve and his friends, who had just gotten a new air conditioner delivered to Marcy's house. Al, desperate to cool off, tries to bribe Steve into letting him come over to use it.

In the end, the Bundy family returns home to their air-conditioned house, and Al comes up with a plan to make money by charging people to come over and use their air conditioner. The episode ends on a humorous note, with Al pulling the plug on the air conditioner as soon as the first customer turns up, declaring that it's too expensive to run.
