Ep 17. Arthur Moves In

Maude, a sitcom that aired from 1972 to 1978, follows the titular character, played by Bea Arthur, as she navigates various social and political issues in her suburban life. Maude believes that Walter is being too lenient with their guest, while Walter accuses Maude of being inhospitable. The two eventually come to a compromise: they'll give Arthur two more weeks to find a job and a new place to live, and in the meantime, Maude will try to be more patient with him.

The episode ends with Arthur announcing that he's found a new job and is moving out. Walter and Maude bid him farewell, and Maude privately admits to Walter that she'll miss Arthur's quirky personality.

"Arthur Moves In" is an entertaining and thought-provoking episode that explores themes of hospitality, friendship, and the dynamics of living with others. With its sharp writing and talented cast, it's no wonder that Maude was a hit with audiences during its six-season run.
