Ep 5. Digging Up Dirt

As “Mob Wives” season 5 episode 5, “Digging Up Dirt” begins, Natalie is seen enjoying the luxurious night out with her new boyfriend London.. While Alicia and Renee are also fine-tuning their relationships – while Alicia spending time with her new man, and Renee’s ex-husband drops in for a visit stirring up some heated moments.

While these ladies are making strides in their individual lives, they cannot neglect the fact that they must all face their personal D.A.’s, and the pressure continues to pile up for Natalie as she tries to cope with the stress of possible jail time.. So, she decides to explore another new avenue for the group in the hopes that it will take everyone's minds off their mounting legal woes; the ladies plan a day trip to visit Big Ang’s family where they are set to try their hand at clamming.

While the group is cruising, Carla speaks candidly to the other ladies about what really went down between her and Renee. Carla expresses her genuine admiration and love for Renee but still shares her feelings about being consistently double-crossed and betrayed by some others which eventually ended up in crossing Renee too.

The trip to Staten Island is sure to be a great time, but when Big Ang takes Drita to do some location scouting for her new bar, Drita gets an unwanted and potentially sticky blast from her past. The crew finally gets down to clamming, and while everyone clearly is having fun, Ang’s flair for drama pops up and threatens to ruin the day for everyone. Ultimately the women managed to have a great bonding experience and share a meal with Ang’s family.

Later on, we get to see Renee meeting with Nurse Wanda, her life and empowerment coach. Wanda talks to Renee about new changes and new directions and asks her to dig deep about how she perceives people and the world around her. The conversation serves as a reminder that one's mindset is the key to happiness and positivity.

Meanwhile, Drita has enlisted Ang's help to get her back into the MMA ring, but she lacks the motivation to train and get back into fighting mode. So, Ang takes it upon herself to give Drita the tough love she needs to shake her off her stagnation and push her to get back into fighting mode.

The episode's final moments show us Natalie dealing directly with the possibility of going to jail, and she seems to be struggling to face the reality of the situation. All in all, "Mob Wives" season 5 episode 5 is a mix of both drama and fun scenes depicting the events in the ladies’ lives, as they explore their day-to-day activities, face personal challenges.
