Ep 3. Moonshiner Vs. Hogzilla

In Moonshiners season 2 episode 3 titled "Moonshiner Vs. Hogzilla," the focus is on master distillers Tim and Tickle. The episode opens with the two working on a new still setup meant for double the output of their previous model. They hit a snag when they realize that the internal heater doesn't work, but not to be stopped, they rig up an external heat source to get the still running.

As they wait for the batch to cook, Tickle hears that the local farmer, Mr. Cooper, has a hog that's been causing trouble. The hog, which they've nicknamed "Hogzilla," has been rooting around and ruining crops in the area. Tim and Tickle head over to investigate, thinking that if they can catch the hog, they could kill it and make some extra money selling the meat.

To catch the hog, Tim devises a trap with a cage and pressure plate. When Hogzilla falls for the bait, Tim races over to flood the cage with CO2 to put the animal to sleep. Tickle is convinced Tim's plan won't work but to his surprise, the hog is successfully captured, and they're able to sell the meat to a local vendor for a quick profit.

Meanwhile, another team of moonshiners, Jim Tom and Roy, are trying to dodge the authorities. The illegal still they've been using is now on the police radar, so they have to find a new location for their operation. After some scouting, they find an abandoned house that seems to be the perfect spot.

But as they're setting up, they notice that the authorities have been following them. Jim Tom decides to play a risky game and confront the cops directly, telling them he's just there to look for leftover antiques. While they suspect what's really going on, the agents don't have enough evidence to arrest them, and Jim Tom and Roy are able to finish setting up without any further incident.

Back at Tim and Tickle's distillery, the new still setup is finally finished, and they start cooking up a batch of moonshine. But halfway through the process, they hear a loud hissing sound and discover a leak in the still. Though they manage to patch it up, the leak nearly ruins the batch, and they're left with a much smaller yield than they had hoped.

Despite the setback, Tim and Tickle manage to sell the remaining moonshine for a decent profit. And after selling the hog meat, they're pleased with their earnings for the day. As the episode comes to a close, the two are optimistic about what they can accomplish with their expanded still setup, even if they'll need to do some more tinkering to perfect it.
