Ep 4. My Daughter's Not Marrying a Jailbird!

In season six, episode four of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding titled My Daughter's Not Marrying a Jailbird!, viewers are introduced to a handful of new families and their unique wedding traditions.

The episode begins with a bang as we are introduced to the Stanley family from Martinsville, Virginia. The family is hosting a huge engagement party for their son, JR, and his fiancé, Maggie. Maggie is a gorger (non-gypsy) and has yet to experience a Stanley party.

The engagement party is a lavish affair with a live band, dancing, and plenty of food. The Stanley family is known for having great pride in their appearance and their wealth, and they spare no expense for JR and Maggie's engagement party.

The next family we meet is the Johnsons from Fort Worth, Texas. Tamara Johnson is a 22-year-old gypsy woman who is set to marry her gorger fiancé, Alex. Tamara and Alex have been together for three years and are excited to tie the knot.

Tamara knows that marrying a gorger is not a widely accepted decision in the gypsy community, but she is determined to stand by her man. The Johnsons are determined to make sure Tamara's wedding to Alex is as gypsy as possible, despite his non-gypsy status.

Meanwhile, in Greenville, South Carolina, we meet the Lee family. The Lees have been in the gypsy community for generations and take great pride in their traditions. They are excited that their daughter, Angelina, is getting married to her fiancé, Gus.

Angelina is a self-proclaimed tomboy who enjoys hunting and fishing, and the Lee family wants to incorporate those interests into her wedding. The Lees start the wedding day off with a hunting trip before the ceremony, with Angelina decked out in a camo wedding dress.

The episode also explores the story of LaDonna, a gypsy bride-to-be from North Carolina who has a dilemma on her hands. She's engaged to the love of her life, but LaDonna's family is adamantly against the union because her fiancé just got out of jail. LaDonna has to convince her family that her fiancé has changed and is a good man, or she might not get to marry him at all.

The sixth season of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding continues to deliver the drama, humor, and unexpected twist viewers have come to expect from the show. From lavish parties to tomboy brides, this episode has something for everyone!
