Ep 3. Kitty Dearest

In this episode of My Cat From Hell, entitled "Kitty Dearest," cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy is called to help two different families deal with their troublesome felines.

The first family consists of a newlywed couple who has just moved in together. The wife's cat, Pebbles, is very aggressive towards her husband and has even bitten him several times. The husband is understandably concerned and wants to find a way to live peacefully with Pebbles.

When Jackson arrives, he immediately picks up on the tension in the household. He observes Pebbles and notices that she is constantly on edge and easily triggered. Jackson determines that Pebbles is "play-aggressive" and that her biting is actually a result of her playing too rough.

To help resolve the issue, Jackson provides the couple with a number of toys and encourages them to play with Pebbles regularly. He also teaches them how to recognize Pebbles' body language and know when she's becoming overstimulated. With Jackson's guidance, the couple is able to bond with Pebbles in a positive way and create a more harmonious household.

The second family Jackson visits has three cats: Pekoe, Earl Grey, and their mother, Jasmine. Each cat has its own unique set of issues, but they all seem to be related to territoriality and tension within the household.

Jackson begins by observing the cats and noting their individual quirks. He also discovers that the family has been feeding the cats in separate areas, which has only heightened the sense of competition and stress among the cats.

To improve the situation, Jackson recommends that the family start feeding the cats together in one area. He also provides them with "scent soakers" - blankets that have been rubbed on each cat that can be exchanged to help the cats get used to each other's scent.

Throughout the episode, Jackson emphasizes the importance of understanding cats' natural behaviors and needs. He helps both families create environments that are more conducive to their cats' happiness and well-being, ultimately strengthening the bond between cat and human.
