In the fourth episode of the second season of My Feet Are Killing Me, viewers are introduced to a patient named Maria. As a dog groomer, Maria is on her feet all day, every day, which has taken a toll on her feet. Specifically, she has developed extremely painful calluses that cause her discomfort with every step she takes.

Maria has tried many at-home remedies to alleviate her pain but has had no success. As a result, she comes to see Dr. Ebonie and Dr. Brad in hopes of finding a solution.

Upon examination, the doctors are shocked at the severity of Maria's calluses. Not only are they large and thick, but they have started to bleed due to the constant friction they experience throughout the day.

To give Maria some relief, Dr. Brad starts by using a scalpel to shave down the calluses. While this process can be painful, Maria is amazed at how much better her feet feel once the thick layers have been removed. In addition to the callus removal, Dr. Brad also recommends that Maria invest in some better shoes with more support to help alleviate some of the pressure on her feet.

Next up, Dr. Ebonie sees a patient who has a persistent ingrown toenail. While ingrown toenails are a common problem, this patient's case is more severe than most. Her toenail has grown into the surrounding tissue, causing a great deal of discomfort and pain.

To correct this issue, Dr. Ebonie will need to perform a procedure called a partial nail removal. While this may sound scary, the procedure is actually quite common and can be done under local anesthesia. Dr. Ebonie starts by numbing the area around the toenail before removing a portion of the nail.

Throughout the procedure, the patient is in good spirits, joking and laughing with Dr. Ebonie and the other staff members. Once the procedure is complete, the patient is thrilled with the results and is eager to return to her normal activities without the constant pain she has been experiencing.

As the episode continues, viewers are introduced to a patient with a rare condition called pigmented villonodular synovitis, or PVNS for short. This condition causes benign tumors to form in the joints, which can lead to pain, stiffness, and limited mobility.

Dr. Brad works with this patient to determine the best course of treatment. While surgery is one option, Dr. Brad is hesitant to go that route due to the potential complications that can arise. Instead, he suggests a new medication that has shown promise in other patients with PVNS.

While the treatment takes time to work, the patient is hopeful that it will make a significant difference in her quality of life. As the episode comes to a close, viewers see Maria return for a follow-up appointment with Dr. Ebonie and Dr. Brad. They are happy to report that her calluses have almost completely healed and that she is feeling much better overall.

Overall, this episode of My Feet Are Killing Me focuses on the importance of seeking medical help for foot-related issues. In many cases, these issues can be treated easily if caught early on. However, if left untreated, they can cause significant pain and discomfort. By showcasing a variety of foot-related issues and treatments, this episode encourages viewers to take better care of their own feet and seek help when needed.
