Chisaki and Hikari finally meet with the rest of their old school friends, Kaname and Tsumugu. While they start off on a rocky note, they soon make up and agree to spend the day on land together. Unknown to them, Manaka has been having strange dreams involving a glowing orb and the Sea God. As they explore their old town, Chisaki starts to have doubts about whether or not they should continue their relationships with Tsumugu and Kaname. Meanwhile, Hikari struggles with not being able to fish and feeling like he doesn't belong on land anymore.

As they spend the day together, they eventually stumble upon a festival celebrating a mythical fish, the Tomoebi. When Manaka sees the glowing orb from her dreams in the Tomoebi's pond, she becomes fixated on it and jumps in to grab it. Chisaki, Kaname, Tsumugu, and Hikari all jump in to save her, but they soon realize the orb has transported them to the bottom of the sea. There, they encounter an underwater village and meet a girl named Sayu who seems to recognize Hikari from somewhere.

Sayu takes them to a man named Uroko-sama who tells Hikari and the others the truth about their village and the Sea God's curse. As they navigate through these new revelations, they must also deal with the fact that they are now stuck in the underwater village and have no way of returning home.
