Ep 7. 100%, Every Time

As a medical emergency responder, the weight of life and death is not unfamiliar to New Orleans Paramedic, Holly Monteleone. But when a call comes in at the local pool about a possible drowning, Holly and her partner Dan Flynn know that they have to move fast. Upon arrival, they find a young boy who is barely breathing and doesn't have a pulse. Holly goes into overdrive and starts performing CPR while Dan grabs the defibrillator. With his expert guidance, Holly shocks the boy back to life. It's a moment of sheer relief, and the entire team is overjoyed to see the boy taken away to the hospital in an ambulance.

Meanwhile, fellow paramedic Titus Tero and his partner arrive at a scene where a man has been beaten down, his face a bloody mess. Titus is a gifted EMT and quickly assesses how severe the injury is. But when the attacker returns while they’re loading the patient up for the hospital, things take a turn for the worse. Even with the presence of the police, things get tense as they work to get the victim and themselves out of harm’s way.

Over on the fire department side, a routine call comes in to put out a car fire. But when they arrive on scene, they see this is no ordinary blaze. Multiple cars are on fire, and the flames are threatening nearby buildings. The team quickly gets to work, and once they've contained the fire, they use their thermal imaging cameras to make sure there are no hot spots left.

If all of this wasn't enough, as the night goes on, New Orleans Police Officer, De'Havalynn Williams and his partner Tyler take a call about a man waving a gun in the street. Upon arriving at the scene, the suspect opens fire on their patrol car, and the pair is forced to take cover in a nearby yard. As backup races to reach them, the two take a chance and attempt to defuse the situation by encouraging the gunman to give himself up.

Through all these confrontations and the fast-paced action, the members of the Nightwatch team never lose their composure or their focus. They bring excellent medical skills, decades of experience, and a willingness to put themselves at risk for the good of the city's citizens. The show offers a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on during the night shift that most of us don't get to see. The series is a tribute to the city of New Orleans and to the hardworking and dedicated individuals who work overnight to keep the city safe.
