Ep 2. Challenger

After the siblings Sora and Shiro were transported to the world of Disboard, a world where everything is decided through games, they now seek to unite all sixteen races in order to challenge the God of Games, Teto. In episode 2 of season 1, entitled "Challenger," the siblings encounter the Flugel race, a powerful and intelligent race of winged beings who reside in a floating city in the sky.

As they explore the city, Sora and Shiro devise a plan to challenge the Flugel's leader, Jibril, to a game. They hope to win a powerful piece of technology that will aid them in their quest to become the next ruler of Disboard. Jibril, an avid collector of knowledge and a lover of all things intellectual, is intrigued by the siblings' offer and agrees to their challenge.

The game the siblings have chosen is chess, but with a twist – the board is constantly shifting and the pieces have special abilities that are completely unorthodox. Despite their seeming disadvantage, Sora and Shiro quickly gain the upper hand, using creative and unorthodox tactics to outmaneuver Jibril.

However, just when it seems like victory is in their grasp, Jibril unveils a trump card – she has acquired a piece of technology that allows her to immediately transport herself anywhere in the game at will. Suddenly, the game is turned on its head and Sora and Shiro are left scrambling to adapt to Jibril's new strategy.

As the game moves toward its conclusion, tensions rise and the siblings are forced to rely on their wits and cunning in order to secure a victory. Despite a nail-biting finale, Sora and Shiro ultimately emerge victorious, winning the technology they sought and earning the respect of Jibril and the entire Flugel race.

However, as they prepare to depart the city, the siblings are ambushed by a group of powerful, armored warriors, and it becomes clear that they are not the only ones seeking to become the next ruler of Disboard. With their newfound technology and formidable skills, Sora and Shiro prepare to face their next challenger and continue their journey towards defeating Teto and becoming the new rulers of Disboard.
