Sora and Shiro are tasked with solving a riddle by the Eastern Federation's race Flugel. The Flugel had been invited over by the Eastern Federation, and whoever would solve the riddle proposed by them would get the collective knowledge of the race. Sora and Shiro, being the master gamers that they are, decide to take on this challenge head-on. They get acquainted with a Flugel, Jibril, who they learn is the caretaker of the eastern library, which includes the knowledge of all Flugels.

Jibril puts forward an absurd riddle, and the siblings get to work at trying to solve it. The riddle involves answering three questions with three answers each. The trick is that all the questions and answers are complete nonsense. Throughout the episode, Sora and Shiro utilize their gaming abilities as they go through various exercises to help them arrive at a reasonable solution.

Meanwhile, Jibril is observing them and is slowly becoming fond of their intelligence and wit. Sora and Shiro finally deduce the answers to the riddles, but instead of solving it automatically, they leave it unsolved. Instead, they propose to play another game, and the winner would be given the Flugel's knowledge. They come up with an imaginative game of ” shiritori,” where players take turn naming a word whose first syllable is the same as the previous player's final syllable.

The game starts, and it becomes apparent that Jibril has never lost a game before. Throughout the game, Jibril proves an exemplary player. In every round, she comes up with a never-before-heard word. But as the game progresses, Jibril starts to notice something strange. The words Sora and Shiro are using are words that she herself had never heard before. They are words from a language the Flugel's have never encountered before - everything becomes much more interesting.

Despite her overwhelming advantage, Jibril ends up losing the game to Sora and Shiro, and they are given the knowledge they had been promised. The episode ends with the siblings leaving Jibril pondering about their language's origins.
