Ep 1. Out Of Control

In the season 10 premiere of North Woods Law, entitled "Out Of Control," viewers are introduced to the new challenges that the Maine Game Wardens will face this season. The episode begins with a search for two missing hikers who disappeared in the mountains during a storm. Game wardens launch a full-scale search and rescue operation, utilizing all available resources including K-9 units and helicopters.

As the search for the missing hikers continues, the game wardens are called to intervene in a serious animal control situation. A homeowner has reported a pack of aggressive coyotes that have been terrorizing their neighborhood. The coyote pack has killed several chickens and even attacked a domestic dog. The game wardens must assess the situation and come up with a plan to capture and relocate the coyotes.

Meanwhile, Game Warden Parker starts his day off early with an ATV patrol, where he stumbles upon a troubling scene. A small cabin has been vandalized, and it is apparent that someone has been living there without permission. In a nearby field, Parker discovers a stolen truck that has been abandoned. As he investigates further, he uncovers evidence of illegal drug use and the possibility of a nearby meth lab. This discovery leads Parker on a dangerous and thrilling pursuit through the woods as he tries to apprehend the suspect.

Back on the coyote case, Game Warden Holmes and K-9 Ruby are sent to the neighborhood to track and locate the pack of coyotes. As they follow the coyotes' footprints, Holmes begins to suspect that the situation may be more dangerous than they originally thought, as the coyotes appear to be leading them into the woods.

The search for the missing hikers continues, and the wardens are determined to find them before it's too late. With the weather worsening and time running out, the game wardens ramp up their efforts, using every tool and resource at their disposal.

As the episode comes to a close, all three storylines come to a head, with the game wardens facing danger and uncertainty at every turn. The missing hikers are found, the coyotes are captured and relocated successfully, and the suspect in Parker's case is taken into custody. Through it all, the game wardens show their dedication to their jobs and their willingness to put their own lives on the line to keep the citizens and wildlife of Maine safe.
