Officer Egan responds to a call from a farmer who has caught a group of teenagers trespassing on his land. The group has been using the farmer's fields to grow marijuana plants and when confronted by the farmer, they fled the scene. Officer Egan enlists the help of the Maine Warden Service's K-9 unit to track down the suspects and search for any more evidence of illegal activities.
Meanwhile, Officer MacFadzen receives a call from a local resident who has found an injured baby bird on her property. MacFadzen transports the bird to a local wildlife rehabilitation center where the staff assesses its injuries and begins treatment. If the bird makes a full recovery, it will be released back into the wild.
Officer Canfield assists a group of ATV riders who have gotten stuck in the mud on a remote trail. With the help of a tow truck, Canfield works to safely rescue the riders and their vehicles from the difficult terrain.
Back on the marijuana investigation, Officer Egan discovers a hidden campsite in the woods that appears to be connected to the illegal operations. The site is stocked with supplies and equipment that suggests whoever was using it was planning to stay for an extended period of time.
As the investigation continues, Officer Holmes receives a call from a hiker who has come across a group of people illegally harvesting clams. The hiker reports that the group is taking far more clams than the legal limit and are not properly licensed to do so. Holmes patrols the area and eventually locates the suspects, who are in possession of dozens of bags of illegally harvested clams.
The episode concludes with the suspects from the marijuana investigation being apprehended and the charges against them being read. The wildlife rehabilitation center is also able to successfully treat and release the injured bird back into the wild. In all, the officers of the Maine Warden Service work tirelessly to protect the state's natural resources and enforce the laws that keep them safe.
