Ep 10. The Cricket Game

The Cricket Game is the tenth episode of season two of Once Upon a Time. In this episode, Regina is determined to defeat Emma in a battle of wits and strategy, and to this end, she invites Emma, Mary Margaret, and David over to her house for a friendly game of cricket. Meanwhile, in the Enchanted Forest, Prince Charming is reunited with his father, who he thought was dead. However, his father's true intentions soon become clear and pose a threat to everyone in the kingdom.

The episode opens with Regina preparing for her game with Emma by practicing her cricket skills. She is joined by Henry, who is worried about his mother's obsession with revenge on Emma and the Charmings. Regina dismisses her son's concerns and insists that she simply wants to prove her superiority to Emma.

In the Enchanted Forest, Prince Charming is shocked to discover that his long-lost father, King George, is still alive. King George explains that he was captured and held prisoner by a band of trolls, but he managed to escape and has been living in exile ever since. Charming is overjoyed to be reunited with his father, but his joy is short-lived when he learns of King George's true intentions.

Back in Storybrooke, Emma, Mary Margaret, and David arrive at Regina's house for the cricket game. Regina greets them with a smug smile and tells them that she has prepared a meal for them after the game. The game begins, and it quickly becomes clear that Regina is much better at cricket than any of her opponents. Emma becomes frustrated and starts making careless mistakes, which only furthers Regina's confidence.

In the Enchanted Forest, King George reveals that he has concocted a plan to take over the kingdom. He has enlisted the help of a powerful sorcerer, who has given him a potion that will allow him to control the minds of anyone who drinks it. King George intends to use this potion to make the citizens of the kingdom do his bidding and overthrow Prince Charming.

Back in Storybrooke, the cricket game is interrupted when the town's clock tower suddenly starts chiming backwards. Regina is alarmed by this and rushes outside to investigate. She is met by Dr. Hopper, who explains that the clock tower is a powerful magical object that can be used to manipulate time. Regina is shocked to learn that Dr. Hopper has been keeping this secret from her and demands that he tell her everything he knows about the clock tower.

In the Enchanted Forest, Prince Charming learns of his father's plan and sets out to stop him. He enlists the help of Snow White and a band of loyal knights, and together they launch an attack on King George's castle. A fierce battle ensues, but Charming is ultimately able to defeat his father and restore peace to the kingdom.

Back in Storybrooke, Regina enlists the help of Mr. Gold to uncover the secrets of the clock tower. Together, they discover that the tower's magic has been triggered by a powerful spell that was cast by none other than Cora, Regina's mother. Regina is shaken by this revelation and realizes that she must confront her past if she ever hopes to move on.

The episode ends with Regina looking out at the town with a newfound sense of determination. She knows that she has a long road ahead of her, but she is ready to face whatever challenges come her way. The cricket game may have been a small victory, but it is clear that Regina is not going to stop until she gets what she wants.
