Over Your Head Season 9 Episode 11 Fireplace Fixer-Upper Gets a New Mantel

Spencer and Kristy Melton's living room was dominated by a wall-to-wall fireplace surround made of huge white quartz rocks. Kristy hated it, and so when one of the rocks came loose, she encouraged Spencer to see how hard it would be to remove. The rock fell off the wall and cracked the hearth, so Spencer took a sledgehammer to the wall and managed to remove the whole surround. Kristy decided she wanted a more traditional mantel but Spencer had no idea how to build one for her. Enter Host Eric Stromer and Carpenter Mark Jordan to help him drywall, frame out and tile a new wooden fireplace surround and mantel.
