Charlie and Kirsten are hosting a party at their place, which is meant to be a celebration of their engagement. Bailey is surprised to find out about it only when he accidentally walks in during the pre-party. In the meantime, Claudia is trying to study for her science test, but she is distracted by the noise and music coming from the party.
At the party, Julia is visibly uncomfortable and nervous, especially when Steve, the older man she had a fling with, shows up unexpectedly. To make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend Griffin also appears and starts making a scene, leading to an argument with Julia. Bailey tries to intervene, but he too gets into a fight with Griffin and gets punched in the face.
Amidst all these tensions and conflicts, the Salinger siblings are trying to act like they are having a good time and pretend that everything is okay. Claudia finally snaps and confronts Charlie about the noise, which leads to a heated argument between them as well. Later on, Bailey talks to Griffin and learns more about Julia's past, which helps him understand her better and resolve their differences.
The episode ends with the aftermath of the party, with the siblings cleaning up the house and reflecting on the events of the night. Charlie regrets having the party and causing so much drama, while Kirsten reassures him that it was just a bump in the road. Bailey and Julia bond over their shared experiences, and Claudia decides to forgive Charlie and focus on her science test again. The episode highlights the complex dynamics of the Salinger family and how they navigate through their personal issues and conflicts.
