Ep 5. Episode 5

In "Primeval" season 3 episode 5, the ARC team (Anomaly Research Centre) is in a state of shock, as they find out that their boss, Professor Nick Cutter, is unwell and barely breathing inside a locked room, in what looks like suspicious circumstances.

The team immediately starts investigating what might have happened, and soon realize that they need to go back in time to find out what caused the events leading up to Cutter's unfortunate condition. Abby (Hannah Spearritt) and Connor (Andrew-Lee Potts) embark on the dangerous journey to the Permian era, to try and find out how the creatures from that time might have got mixed up and caused the anomaly that led to Cutter's illness.

Meanwhile, Jenny (Lucy Brown) and Sarah (Laila Rouass) are left behind to try and unravel what happened in the present day, and they soon realize that something more sinister might be at play. They find a security video tape that seems to have been tampered with, and they discover that one of the ARC team members might have had something to do with Cutter's condition.

In the meantime, Abby and Connor find themselves in the Permian era, face to face with some of the most dangerous creatures that ever roamed the earth. They are being chased by a pack of predator-like raptors, which seem to have followed them through the anomaly.

With Cutter's life hanging in the balance, the team must race against time to figure out who might have wanted to harm their beloved boss, and what they can do to uncover more about the strange phenomena taking place. As the episode comes to a head, the team must work together to overcome the dangers of the Permian era and make it back to the present in one piece.
