Ep 4. A Better Place to Be

In the fourth episode of the fourth season of the medical drama Private Practice, titled "A Better Place to Be," the doctors of the Oceanside Wellness Group must deal with a variety of challenging cases.

First, a pregnant woman named Sophie seeks out Dr. Addison Montgomery's help after suffering a miscarriage. Addison struggles to find the right words to comfort Sophie and help her come to terms with her loss.

Meanwhile, Sam and Naomi try to help a couple, Eric and Julie, who are struggling with infertility. Julie is desperate to conceive, and her desperation is causing strain on their marriage. In another storyline, Cooper is struggling to deal with the fact that his wife, Charlotte, has become distant and closed off. Charlotte has been keeping secrets and has been absent from their marriage, causing Cooper to feel neglected and alone. He seeks advice from his colleagues and tries to find a way to reconnect with Charlotte.

Lastly, Pete must deal with a difficult case involving a patient with a rare and deadly disease. The patient, Karen, is not responding to treatment, and her prognosis is grim. Pete faces difficult ethical decisions as he tries to help Karen and her family navigate this difficult time.

Throughout the episode, the doctors at Oceanside Wellness must confront their own personal struggles and learn to balance their professional and personal lives. The complex and emotional cases they deal with challenge them in unexpected ways, and they must find a way to come together as a team to provide the best care for their patients.
