Ep 3. The Black Knight

The episode begins as our protagonist Parn, alongside his newfound friends Etoh, Slayn and Ghim, reaches the town of Kastuul. The city is the last stop in the trade route they have been following. As they enter the town, a group of thieves tries to mug them, but Parn, with his newly acquired sword skill, easily defeats them. The group then heads towards the town's tavern, where they hear a rumor about a black knight who has been terrorizing the town's outskirts.

Parn & co. decide to investigate this matter and soon come across a young girl, Leylia, who claims that her father has been kidnapped by the black knight. The group of friends agrees to help her and goes to the location where Leylia's father was last seen. They find a camp where they meet a warrior, named Woodchuck, who has been captured by the black knight. Woodchuck tells them that the black knight is the captain of the knights guarding Marmo territory. It is learned that Marmo is a country which seeks the destruction of Lodoss.

The group decides to defeat the black knight to save the girl's father and stop him from terrorizing the land. They reach the knight's stronghold, and Parn challenges the black knight to a sword fight, but to no avail. The black knight then disappears, and the group is left standing at the entrance.

Later, they go to a nearby town where they enlist the help of a Sage who tells them about the history of Marmo, the black knight's origins, and his reasons for attacking the surrounding lands. The black knight was once a beloved knight of Lodoss but was deceived and manipulated by the evil god of Marmo. His hatred towards Lodoss grew stronger, and he turned into a fierce warrior who now seeks revenge against his former comrades.

The Sage informs the group that the only way to defeat the black knight is with a weapon called the sword of light or the never-dulling sword. Parn, Etoh, Slayn, Ghim, and Leylia then embark on a quest to find the never-dulling sword. Along the way, they face many challenges and fight against formidable foes, but ultimately, they succeed in finding the sword.

They head back to the black knight's fortress and challenge him again. This time, with the help of the never-dulling sword, Parn defeats the black knight in a thrilling battle. As the black knight breathes his last, Leylia's father and Woodchuck are freed from captivity. The group, proud of their achievement, returns to Kastuul, where they are welcomed as heroes of the land.
