Rev Run's Sunday Suppers is a cooking show that blends the worlds of food and family while bringing together a diverse group of guests for a meal each week. In season 2, episode 13 titled "Old School Sunday," Rev Run and his family prepare a Sunday dinner fit for the ages.

Rev Run starts off the episode by explaining that this week's meal is all about the classics. He wants to take a step back in time and cook some of the dishes that remind him of his childhood. As Rev Run takes us through his childhood memories, we see flashbacks of him and his siblings enjoying Sunday meals with their parents.

To begin the dish, Rev Run brings out an old-school recipe book that has been passed down through his family. It contains a treasure trove of classic recipes, including several that his grandmother used to make. The first dish Rev Run decides to cook is fried chicken. He starts by seasoning the chicken with a variety of spices, including paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Then, he dredges it in flour before frying it up to a golden brown.

While the chicken is frying, Rev Run begins to make his gravy. He takes the leftover fried chicken bits and adds them to a pan with flour, butter, and milk. He stirs the mixture until it thickens into a rich and creamy gravy that will be perfect for dipping the chicken in.

Next on the menu is macaroni and cheese. Rev Run starts by boiling some pasta before making a roux with butter, flour, and milk. Then he adds in cheddar cheese and stirs the mixture until it becomes a smooth and creamy sauce. He tops it with breadcrumbs and pops it in the oven to bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

For his vegetable side dish, Rev Run decides to make succotash. He starts by sautéing onions and peppers in butter before adding corn, lima beans, and tomatoes. He simmers everything together until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded together.

Last but not least, Rev Run makes a classic peach cobbler for dessert. He starts by slicing up fresh peaches and mixing them with sugar and a little bit of flour. Then, he tops the peaches with a buttery biscuit dough and bakes it in the oven until it's golden brown and bubbling.

Throughout the episode, Rev Run shares stories and memories from his childhood while cooking up some of his favorite old-school dishes. The meal comes together beautifully, and the family sits down to enjoy the fruits of their labor. As they eat, they reminisce about the good times and the meals that brought them all together.
