Ep 15. Nightmare on Oak Street

In Roseanne season 1 episode 15, titled Nightmare on Oak Street, the Conner family is gearing up for Halloween. Dan and Roseanne are tasked with setting up a haunted house for the neighborhood kids to enjoy, while their children Darlene, Becky, and D.J. are excitedly planning their costumes. As they get into the spooky spirit, strange things begin happening around the house.

Darlene becomes convinced that the grumpy neighbor next door, Mrs. Nocek, is a witch and responsible for the spooky occurrences. While trick-or-treating, Darlene and Becky decide to play a prank on Mrs. Nocek, which leads to a surprising turn of events.

Meanwhile, Roseanne is dealing with her own unsettling nightmare. She is haunted by a dream in which she is waiting on her couch for a plumber who never arrives. The dream becomes increasingly bizarre as more and more people from her life show up on her couch, causing her to question her own sanity.

Throughout the episode, the Conners find themselves navigating both their own fears and the fearmongering of the holiday, ultimately realizing that the scariest thing of all may be their own family dynamics.
