In the season 2 premiere of Say Yes to the Dress, entitled "Here Comes the Bride Again...and Again," the Kleinfeld consultants are inundated with brides who have been in before and couldn't quite find "the one." Some bring their significant others, while others are taking the solo route, but all share the common goal of finding a dress that they feel truly special in.
First up is a bride named Amy, who previously visited Kleinfeld with her sister but left empty-handed. This time around, she's brought her mom and is hoping to find a dress that incorporates both her love of lace and her need for sleeves. Luckily for Amy, consultant Audrey has just the dress in mind; a beautiful A-line gown adorned with intricate lace details and capped sleeves. Amy tries it on and is immediately in awe of herself in the gown. It's a definite contender, and her mom agrees that it might be "the one."
Next, Kleinfeld regular Heather returns for her third appointment. She's already purchased a dress, but when she saw a newer design online, she knew she had to come back and try it on. The dress is a mermaid style with a neckline that dips low in the front and back. Heather falls in love with it instantly, but there's one major issue: the dress is twice her budget. Fortunately, Randy is there to work his magic and make the dress fit within Heather's budget. When she sees the final number, Heather can't help but exclaim, "You're the man, Randy!"
Bride Katie is up next, and she's looking for a dress that will complement her rodeo-themed wedding. She's already purchased boots to go with her dress and wants something that's not too formal or princess-y. Consultant Keasha suggests a short lace dress with a tulle overskirt that has a definite country vibe. When Katie puts it on, she can't stop twirling and smiling at herself in the mirror. "I think that we may have started a whole new category of wedding dresses," Keasha declares.
The episode then introduces us to a new consultant at Kleinfeld, Camille, who is working with bride-to-be Christina. Christina has been to Kleinfeld multiple times with her mom and future mother-in-law, but has yet to find a dress that checks all the boxes. Camille suggests a trumpet gown with lace details that Christina seems to like, but her entourage isn't quite sold. Eventually, Christina has a breakthrough moment when she realizes that she wants a dress with a lower back and straps. Armed with that information, Camille pulls a dress from the racks that is the perfect blend of sexy and elegant. Christina can't believe how stunning she looks and feels in the dress, and her mom and future mother-in-law agree that it's the one.
The final bride of the episode is Laney, who had previously come to Kleinfeld with her mom and sister but hadn't fallen in love with any of the dresses. This time, she's back with her fiancé, who is helping her pick out a dress. Laney has her heart set on a fitted, trumpet gown, but her fiancé is leaning towards something more traditional and ballgown-like. Camille steps in and suggests a compromise; a full-skirted gown with a fitted lace bodice. It's the perfect blend of the two styles Laney and her fiancé were considering, and when Laney puts it on, the look on her fiancé's face says it all. "I am blown away," he exclaims.
Overall, the season 2 premiere of Say Yes to the Dress is a whirlwind of appointments, dresses, and emotions, but the Kleinfeld consultants manage to help each bride find a dress that they truly love.
