Secrets and Lies is a mystery television series that follows the homicide investigations of Detective Andrea Cornell. The show reveals both Detective Cornell's perspective as well as those of the suspected killers. You get an in depth view of what it's like from both side of the investigation.

The season kicks off with Ben Crawford, a respected contractor with a nice little family, happening upon the beaten body of his neighbor's son. He swiftly becomes the prime suspect in Cornell's eyes, as he is unable to recall his whereabouts the night the murder took place.

According to Ben he blacked-out after a night of hard drinking with his buddy, Dave. His drinking was a result of an argument with his wife about her suspicion of him having an affair with the mother of the dead boy. The show continues to provide twists and turns throughout that makes it harder for Ben to claim his innocence.
