Ep 2. The Pony Remark

Jerry is invited to his aunt's 50th-anniversary party, where he meets her friend Manya, who has recently emigrated from Poland. He makes an unfortunate comment about her ponytail, which sets off a series of events. Meanwhile, Elaine begins dating a saxophone player and tries to convince Jerry to call him to play his local club. George becomes frightened when a cashier at a local store catches him eating a candy bar he did not pay for.

The episode opens with Jerry and George having a conversation about the upcoming party and Jerry's concerns about his hair. They are interrupted by Kramer, who barges in with a large metal container. They discover that it is a hot tub that Kramer and his former roommate bought and are now storing in Jerry's garage.

At the party, Jerry meets Manya, who comments on his uncle's Boston Terrier. Jerry tells her that he is not a big fan of dogs and prefers ponies. George goes to the store to buy candy bars but is caught by the cashier eating one before he can pay. He becomes paranoid that the cashier has recognized him and is now plotting revenge against him.

Throughout the episode, we see the aftermath of Jerry's comment about Manya's ponytail. It causes tension between Jerry and his family, as well as between Jerry and his girlfriend, who is offended by the comment. Jerry goes to great lengths to apologize and sets up a meeting with Manya to make amends.
