Ep 8. Love Is A Devil

Clary and her friends have been through a lot over the course of Shadowhunters season 2, but things take an interesting turn in episode 8 titled "Love Is A Devil." As the title suggests, this episode will be very focused on relationships and the complications that come along with them.

The episode opens with Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) continuing to work on their training. As if that wasn't enough relationship drama to deal with, Simon (Alberto Rosende) is starting to realize that he might have feelings for Maia (Alisha Wainwright). However, Maia has her own issues to deal with as she tries to come to terms with her werewolf heritage.

While there's no shortage of romantic tension in "Love Is A Devil," the episode also manages to move the plot forward in a few key ways. In particular, we get a closer look at the mysterious Sebastian (Will Tudor) and the role he may play in the ongoing conflict between the Shadowhunters and the Downworlders.
