As Fumika contemplates the impact of her job, we see that she is not alone in her work. There are other carriers like her, each with their own reasons for doing what they do. Fumika's mentor, Kanaka, is one such carrier, who has a troubled past. We see her dealing with the aftermath of a difficult delivery, which has left her traumatized.

The episode ends with Fumika delivering a letter to a young boy. The letter is from his deceased mother, who apologizes for not being there for him and tells him to take care of himself.
