Watch Showdown Air Combat

Showdown Air Combat is a war documentary series that first aired in 2008. The show looks at some of the most famous dog fights throughout history. This includes some of the earliest dog fights in world war one, fights in world war two, and later dog fights that involved jets during the Vietnam war. The series uses animation in order to recreate the dog fights, and to explain how the planes maneuvered around each other. Showdown Air Combat also goes into the airplanes that were used during these conflicts, the way the pilots handled them, and what kinds of weapons they carried.
