Simon & Simon is an American detective television series that aired from 1981 to 1989. The show follows the exploits of Rick and A.J. Simon, brothers who run a private detective agency in San Diego, California.

In season 2 episode 6, titled "Rough Rider Rides Again," the Simon brothers are hired to investigate the theft of a valuable antique motorcycle, the Rough Rider, which was a valuable part of a private collection. The bike had been stolen off the back of a truck as it was being transported to a motorcycle show in Del Mar. The owner, Kirk Taylor, believes that the theft was an inside job and wants the Simons to find out who is responsible and recover the bike.

The Simon brothers start by interviewing the truck driver who was transporting the bike, but he claims to have no knowledge of the theft and is not very cooperative. The brothers next visit the motorcycle shop where the bike was designed and built, hoping to find some leads there. They meet with the owner, Arnie, and learn that the bike was originally built for a movie star named Alex Prince, who was a fan of the old west and wanted a custom motorcycle that reflected that interest.

The Simons then meet with Prince, who is now a washed-up actor living in a trailer park. Prince is initially uncooperative with the investigation, but he eventually reveals that he sold the Rough Rider several years ago to a man named Jack Colton. Colton was a wealthy businessman who was also a collector of rare motorcycles.

The Simons track down Colton's estate, but they learn that he died a few years ago and his collection was put up for auction. The Rough Rider was last seen in the possession of a man named Joe Smythe, who bought it at a motorcycle show in Las Vegas. The Simons track down Smythe, but he claims that he sold the bike a few months ago to a man named Sam Taylor, the younger brother of Kirk Taylor.

The Simons meet with Sam Taylor, who is a mechanic at a local motorcycle repair shop. He claims to have no knowledge of the theft and insists that he bought the bike from Smythe fair and square. However, the Simons notice that the bike's paint job has been changed since it was stolen, which raises their suspicions.

The Simons continue their investigation, and they eventually learn that the theft was indeed an inside job and that Kirk Taylor was behind it all along. Kirk had been jealous of his younger brother's success and wanted the Rough Rider to prove that he was just as good a collector as Sam. The Simons confront Kirk with their evidence, and he confesses to the theft. The stolen bike is recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

"Rough Rider Rides Again" is a thrilling episode of Simon & Simon that showcases the brothers' detective skills as they pursue the thief responsible for the theft of a valuable antique motorcycle. The episode is well-written, with plenty of twists and turns in the investigation that keep the viewer guessing, and the characters are engaging and well-acted. Overall, it is an enjoyable and entertaining addition to the Simon & Simon series.
