In a galaxy far, far away, the lovable and furry Ewoks of the forest moon of Endor star in their own animated series. Star Wars: Ewoks, which originally aired between 1985 and 1987, is now available to stream on Disney+. The series follows the adventures of Wicket, a young Ewok, and his friends as they navigate the dangers of their forest home and battle against the evil Empire. With the help of their knowledge of the forest and their resourcefulness, the Ewoks are able to outsmart stormtroopers and other Imperial foes.

Voiced by Jim Henshaw, Wicket is the series' protagonist and the character who audiences become most attached to. His curious nature and desire to explore lead him on many adventures that sometimes put him in harm's way, but he always manages to come out on top.

Joining Wicket on his adventures are his friends Teebo, a shamanistic Ewok who has a strong connection to the force, and Princess Kneesaa, whose gentle nature belies her strong leadership qualities. Voiced by James Cranna and Cree Summer respectively, Teebo and Kneesaa are both integral members of the group and help to keep Wicket out of trouble.

Other notable characters in the series include Chief Chirpa, the leader of the Ewok tribe, and Logray, the tribe's medicine man. Both characters are wise and powerful leaders, with Logray often using his knowledge of potions and magic to help the Ewoks in their battles against the Empire.

Despite being an animated series aimed at children, Star Wars: Ewoks has a surprising amount of depth and complexity. It explores themes of friendship, bravery, and standing up against oppression, all while maintaining the lighthearted and whimsical feel that is characteristic of the Ewoks.

In terms of animation, the series is somewhat dated by modern standards. However, the hand-drawn style has a certain charm to it that is reminiscent of the classic cartoons of the 80s. The use of bold colors and expressive character designs help to bring the forest moon of Endor to life and create a visually appealing world for the Ewoks to inhabit.

Overall, Star Wars: Ewoks is a fun and entertaining series that is sure to delight Star Wars fans of all ages. With its charming characters, exciting adventures, and positive messages, it is a great addition to the Disney+ lineup and a must-watch for anyone who loves the world of Star Wars.

Star Wars: Ewoks is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (26 episodes). The series first aired on September 7, 1985.
