Ep 16. The Lawless

With the galaxy in turmoil, and the Jedi Order stretched thin, the Separatist Alliance sees its chance to strike back against the Republic. They've enlisted the help of Darth Maul, the former Sith Lord who was presumed dead after his fateful duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. But as the Republic begins to crumble under the weight of the Separatist onslaught, Maul sees his chance to take control and exact his revenge against those who wronged him.

In "The Lawless," the sixteenth episode of the fifth season of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," the long-awaited showdown between Darth Maul and the Jedi finally arrives. As Anakin and a group of clone troopers launch a daring covert operation to rescue Obi-Wan, Maul continues his assault on Mandalore. But when he learns that the Jedi are about to arrive to stop him, he unleashes his most diabolical plan yet. Using cunning and deception, he lures them into a trap and reveals the true extent of his power.

The ending of "The Lawless" is one of the most shocking and heartbreaking moments in the entire series. Without spoiling anything, suffice it to say that the episode ends with a sense of tragedy and loss that will leave longtime fans reeling. But even as the credits roll, there's a sense of anticipation for what's to come – a sense that the story is only just beginning.
