Sullivan & Son season 2 episode 2 titled "Acceptance" follows the misadventures of Steve Sullivan, a lawyer who returns home to Pittsburgh to help his family run their bar, Sullivan & Son. The episode starts with Steve trying to convince his younger sister Susan to take a job he's arranged for her at a big law firm in New York City. However, Susan isn't interested in a corporate job and wants to continue working at the family bar. Steve, frustrated by her decision, starts to believe that he's the only one with ambition in the family.

Meanwhile, Owen, the bar's Irish bartender, is desperately trying to come up with new drink recipes to boost the bar's business. He turns to Jukka, Sullivan & Son's Finnish chef, for inspiration. Jukka tells him to create a beer cocktail, which he does, and it becomes an instant hit with customers. The success of Owen's new drink leads to a fun competition between him and Jukka as they create new cocktails for the bar.

During all this, Carol, a member of the bar's regular clientele, is trying to get over a breakup. She's struggling to accept her ex's new girlfriend and finds comfort in talking to Steve about her feelings. Steve, who's still upset with Susan for not taking the job in New York, doesn't realize that Carol is slowly trying to make him see that everyone has their own path in life.

As the night progresses, tensions rise before Susan finally confronts Steve about how she feels about her job at the bar. She tells him that she's happy working with the family and that a corporate job isn't something she feels passionate about. Susan's words make Steve realize that everyone has their own goals and ways of achieving them. In the end, he apologizes to Susan, and they make amends.

"Acceptance" is a heartwarming episode that showcases how everyone has their own journey in life and how acceptance is key to finding happiness. With fun competitions and heart-to-heart conversations, this episode is an excellent addition to the Sullivan & Son series.
