Kara is struggling to hold onto her humanity when her powers go haywire and she begins using them for personal gain, earning her scorn from National City. Meanwhile, Cat appears on The Talk to discuss Supergirl and her actions, and Alex comes to a realization about her feelings for Maxwell Lord. The situation only worsens when General Lane demands that the DEO capture Supergirl and Superman comes to town to help. Ultimately, Kara must confront the decisions she's made and the consequences they've wrought before she completely loses herself.
