That Girl was a popular sitcom that aired on ABC in the late 1960s. The show centered around the life of young, aspiring actress Ann Marie, played by Marlo Thomas, as she navigated her way through the ups and downs of life in New York City. In season 1 episode 8, entitled "Little Auction Annie," Ann gets involved in an auction for charity and finds herself bidding on some interesting items.

The episode begins with Ann walking down the street with her boyfriend, Don (Ted Bessell), when they encounter a woman selling raffle tickets for a charity auction. Ann is immediately interested and decides to buy a ticket, hoping to win something fun. The following day, she receives a call from the auction organizers informing her that she won one of the items up for bid - a stuffed moose head. Ann is initially disappointed, thinking that the moose head is a strange and useless prize, but Don encourages her to look at it as an opportunity to do some good for the charity.

With Don's encouragement, Ann decides to try to auction off the moose head at the charity event. When they arrive at the auction, they discover that there are several other interesting items up for bid, including a personally autographed photo of President Eisenhower and a beautiful antique vase. Ann is a little intimidated by the other bidders, who seem to be much more experienced than her, but she decides to give it her best shot.

As the auction gets underway, Ann gets more and more into the excitement of it all. She successfully bids on a few items, including a handmade quilt and a set of silver candlesticks, and is feeling pretty good about herself. But when the moose head comes up for bid, things start to get a little crazy. The bidding quickly gets out of control, with Ann and another woman quickly driving the price up to ridiculous levels. The auctioneer, impressed by their enthusiasm, encourages them to keep going, until finally the other woman drops out and Ann wins the moose head for an unbelievable price.

Feeling both elated and a little bit guilty, Ann takes the moose head home and tries to figure out what to do with it. Don suggests that they sell it to a wealthy friend of his, who has a reputation for buying strange and unusual items. They make an appointment to meet with him, but when they arrive, they discover that he has a new obsession - collecting antique dolls. He is not interested in buying the moose head, but he does offer to help them sell it by bringing it to a meeting of his doll collector's group.

The episode ends with Ann and Don attending the meeting, where they are surprised to discover that the doll collectors are interested in the moose head after all. They end up selling it for a very good price, which they donate back to the charity. Ann is happy with the outcome and with the fact that she got to experience the thrill of the auction, but she agrees with Don that they should probably stick to buying things more traditionally in the future.

In summary, "Little Auction Annie" is a fun and lighthearted episode of That Girl that explores the world of charity auctions and the thrill of the bidding process. Ann Marie is as lovable and quirky as ever, and her relationship with Don continues to be one of the highlights of the show. Fans of classic sitcoms and 1960s fashion will find plenty to enjoy in this episode.
